I enjoy sharing things that I am currently liking! I am one of those people who doesn’t have a favorite color or movie. I just like a lot of things – I can never choose my favorite! So I like sharing my current favorite things ever now and again! This is what I am currently loving -

1. Boyce Avenue covers – mmmm…. I love me some Boyce Avenue and they had done some really great covers recently! Is it bad that I think I like their covers more than the original songs?

2. Cliff Bars – Andrea introduced these to me! I have seen them around at the store before, but never wanted to buy one, until see shared a piece with me one wedding day. Let me tell you, its the perfect snack to bring along when shooting!

3. Yellow dresses – I recently bought a couple of yellow dresses (I guess I wasn’t thinking about variety) but I feel like yellow is the perfect summer color! I have worn both of them to weddings in the last couple of weeks and I love them!

4. Gilmore Girls – I love Gilmore Girls! I have all 7 seasons. I recently started watching from season one again. Its the perfect thing to have on in the background while I work and edit!

Nick + Lindsey | Barren Ridge Vineyard Wedding

Nick and Lindsey’s wedding day was incredible! The venue was gorgeous, the details were amazing and the rain miraculously held off all day! I had been looking forward to Nick and Lindsey’s day ever since the first email! I was so excited to be a part of such a special and beautiful time! Nick and Lindsey are amazing and perfect together and they way they look at each other melts my heart! It is so obvious that they belong together!

A wedding dress on wine barrels? Yes, please!

Chris + Amanda | Pennsylvania Riverside Wedding

I loved being a part of Chris and Amanda’s wedding day! Just with the long distance, we weren’t able to meet up to do an engagement session before the wedding day, but they were amazing and did awesome! I was so excited that they choose me as their photographer! The weather was completely unlike the end of May; it was in the 40′s, super windy and looked like it was going to pour any minute! We completely froze while shooting, but everyone powered through like champs and we just turned the heat on high in our cars afterward! Chris and Amanda are an amazing couple! They are childhood sweethearts and have been together for years! I loved the joy and excitement they had on the wedding day! Thank you both for choosing me to be a part of your wedding day! I am honored!

Wes + Lexi | A Lynchburg Historic Cemetery Wedding

If you read the title of this wedding and thought, “Wait, what?” Just stayed tuned! Lynchburg has a historic cemetery downtown that was built in the early 1800′s, but there are so many gorgeous spots, that you would just think it was a park! In fact, people take pictures there all the time! There is a tiny chapel in the middle of the cemetery, and I have always wanted to shoot a wedding there! Wes and Lexi decided that it was the perfect fit for their day – and it was! Everything was beautiful and wonderful! Wes and Lexi are an amazing couple! From the time I spent with them before their wedding day, I knew that they were a wonderful couple and wonderful together – but hearing family and friends talk and share about how perfect they were together and how amazing they both were as individuals – overwhelming confirmed in my mind how incredible they are! They day was so sweet, intimate and special, I feel so blessed that I got to be a part of it! Congrats you two! So excited as you start life together!

Life Lately

This post could also be called, “Why I am a horrible blogger this week.”

Life has been crazy! Chris and I just moved into our new apartment yesterday! Finally! I have been so excited about this for months! Our old apartment was small and old, so I have been so excited to move to a newer place that has more bedrooms and bathrooms! (yes, plural, that is how small our other place was!) We finished moving everything in yesterday, but it was so much work. I feel like every spare moment was spent packing and cleaning, so I haven’t even had time to do emails, blog or anything! (Don’t worry, I am already on my way to catching up!)

During this craziness, we were able to go out to dinner on Monday night to celebrate our two year anniversary! What? How has been two years already?! For you all of you lovely and engaged brides, it is SO hard waiting for the wedding day, but once it happens, life moves so fast! Be sure to enjoy every little moment!

This weekend, I am out of town shooting three out of town weddings. Yes, three. I may be crazy, but I am so excited for an awesome, full weekend! I can’t wait to celebrate with three incredible couples! Be sure to check out facebook and twitter for some sneak peekys (yes, I just made up a word… don’t judge).

Oh, and just because I was thinking of it… I got bangs this week. Full on bangs – not the little fluffy siders. I am not sure if I like them yet or not.

And because EVERY blog post HAS to have a picture, here is one of Chris and I at our anniversary dinner on Monday! We went to the same restaurant where we had our rehearsal dinner! (This was before the bangs…)

Drew + Kathryn | A Rustic Spring Lynchburg Wedding

I can’t even tell you how excited I am about showing off this wedding! I seriously had been dreaming about Drew and Kathryn’s day since Kathryn and I first grabbed coffee together! And let me tell you, it was everything I was hoping it would be! They are an amazing and insanely gorgeous couple. They were surrounded by incredible friends and family and their details were amazing! Kathryn and I have been acquaintances for a couple of years – we both were in student leadership – but we never really got the chance to become friends or get to know each other better until we started talking about wedding stuff! I am so so so thrilled that that chose me to be a part of their day! I always feel so privileged when I get asked to be such a special part of the day – and that feeling never gets old! Drew and Kathryn are MADE for each other! They are so perfect together and there is no doubt in my mind that they are going to have an incredible marriage and life together! I am beyond excited that you are both now part of the married club! Its awesome! I hope Mexico is treating you well!

I love this session and can’t wait to show it off! Tim and Brittannie are fantastic! They are so sweet and and wonderful! I love couples who love pictures and make them a priority! And Tim and Brittannie are one of those couples, so that makes my job easy! They are also completely in love! They smile and laugh together and I get to capture it! I love this session! Devin and Alyssa are PERFECT together and they laugh. A LOT. They are definitely made for each other and it is so obvious! They are both so sweet and such an incredible couple! The first time I met with Alyssa, I seriously felt like I was grabbing coffee with a friend and forgot that she was a potential client! We talked J. Crew sales and I knew that we would get along great! Devin turned out to be just as fun and we had such a blast together shooting their engagement session, and that makes me even more excited for their June wedding! I am beyond excited to work with this couple! Enjoy some of my favorites!

Foodie Friday: Mexican Chicken

2 large chicken breasts, frozen

1 can of red enchilada sauce

1 can black beans

1 packet chicken fajita seasoning

1/3 cup water

2 TBS oil

1 can rotel

1 package 90 second Spanish Rice

Sour cream and shredded cheese

Place enchilada sauce, black beans, rotel, fajita seasoning packet, water and oil in crockpot. Stir. Add chicken breasts. Cook on high until done – about 2-3 hours. Shred chicken breasts. Cook rice. Layer rice and chicken mixture in bowl. Top with sour cream and cheese.
