Will + Kelli | Wytheville Spring Wedding

Kelli and Will are a super sweet couple! They booked me a LONG time ago, so I was so excited when their wedding day finally arrived!!! They have been together for years, so I know how they were counting down the days! One of my favorite parts of the wedding day is the anticipation! I love it when the bride is getting ready and can’t wait to see the groom! Thank you both for choosing me to be a part of your day, enjoy my favorites below!

I also shot some film on their day, so enjoy my comments on my favorite film shots :)
I also had the chance to do a bridal portrait session with Kelli a few weeks before her wedding day! A bridal session is when I do a session with just the bride prior to the wedding! It gives her a chance to wear her dress more than once, and it allows to get more shots in other locations! I always set aside time on the wedding day to shoot just the bride, but we don’t have a whole hour for it, that why is they bridal session is so great! Also, a lot of brides like to be able to display a picture at the reception from their session as well!
Gorgeous!

Beautiful ladies!

Love both of these shots!

I love this one!

First Looks are my FAVORITE!!

These next few are film!!!

This one the right is my favorite!!!

One of my favorite ceremony pictures of all time!!!

Right after the ceremony! I love Kelli’s face!

We did some sunset shots, even though it was a little cloudy, but it gave us time for more portraits!

My favorite from the whole day!!! And its film too! :) Thank you both for allowing me to be a part of your day!!! I hope married life is awesome so far! :)

Such a beautiful wedding and you did an amazing job capturing these memories for a lifetime for this couple!

Engaged: Ryan + Laura | Virginia Tech Sunset Session

I had such an incredible time with Ryan and Laura! Even though they booked me months ago, we never had the chance to meet until the engagement session! That is one of the reasons that I love doing an engagement session, I am able to meet clients face to face and we have the chance to work together, so that on the wedding day we are already comfortable with each other and everything goes smoothly! However, Ryan and Laura were total naturals in front of the camera so they hardly needed any  coaching or directing! They are one of those couples that you know belong together because they are perfect together and so in love!  I also love that we did their engagement session at Virginia Tech, but used a lot of uncommon spots! I try to make each session unique and different, so I loved that they were totally on board with that! They also ended the session with giving me a mug from starbucks! They know me well :) I am beyond excited for their wedding in August and for you to see my favorites below!!!

Love this one!!!

You are stunning, Laura! I can’t wait to photograph you as a bride!!!

This is definitely a favorite!!!

SO cute!!!

This tree was perfect! Beautiful flowers, and the light was perfect! I could have stayed here for our whole session!

A new favorite!!! Ah!

You guys are models! I am in love with this one!

Ryan did awesome! Check out that gorgeous ring!!

Love this one!

These next few are some of my favorites!

I have been to Tech a few times, but have never gotten to go in the stadium! I love it that we got to shoot in there!!!

Engaged: Ryan + Karin | Blacksburg Engagement Session

I am so excited to share this session with you! Ryan and Karin are an AMAZING couple! I love them both so much! Karin has an incredible voice and sung at two of the weddings I shot last year, so I had met her a couple of times, but didn’t have a chance to hang out with her until our session! Karin and Ryan are incredible together! They laugh 95% of the time and I love it! They also love Starbucks, so we get along well! :) One thing I loved about their session was that we went to places that were important to them and their relationship! We started at Starbucks were Karin used to work. Ryan would come and keep her company while she was on the clock, so that was a spot that meant a lot to them! We even had drinks included too!

Then we went to the movie theater where they had their first date! I loved what we got here!

I LOVE the one on the left!

Love these ring shots! The popcorn was the perfect prop!

Ah!!! I love this superman shirt! Ryan and Karin were so creative and thought of so many good and fun ideas! I love all of these!

Gorgeous, Karin! That one of the right is beautiful!!!

Love it!!

This one makes me happy! Too cute! A Tiffany ring?!? I was pretty much drooling.

Gorge!!! You have the PERFECT model face, Karin! Ah! Can’t wait for July!!

These next few can’t be any cuter!!

That purple bush is awesome!

Seriously Karin? Could you be any more gorgeous?? I can’t wait to photograph you as a bride!

Engaged: Alex + Jenna | Virginia Tech Sunrise Session

I met Alex and Jenna last summer at a coffee shop and we talked about wedding details! The only thing with booking clients far in advance is that I have to wait a long time before I get to shoot their engagement session! I was so glad when the weekend arrived so we could hang out again! When Jenna first suggested a sunrise session, I was a little hesitant. I am NOT a morning person! I love sleeping in and only wake up early when I have to! I am definitely a night owl! But let me tell you, getting up at 5am to shoot this session was WORTH it!!! The light was gorgeous, and even though it was 35 degrees (yes, summer somehow disappeared again), Jenna and Alex braved it and totally rocked it! I have been to Virginia Tech a few times now, but I have never been on campus when it was so empty! There was literally no one around… I mean a college campus on Saturday at 6:45 am…. no shocker there! It was so nice though not to have to worry about people being in the background of my shots! Alex and Jenna, thanks for getting up early to shoot in the freezing weather, and I can’t wait for June!!! That morning light is beautiful!
Jenna, you are so beautiful! I can’t wait for June!

Loved the cowboy boots!!!

Love these next few!!

I love how we got some ducks in the background!

This tree was perfect!

My absolute favorite!!! Gorgeous ring! One of my favorite parts of engagement sessions is getting to photograph so many different kinds of rings! This one is so pretty, good job, Alex!
